What is CERT?

The HBF CERT team is a volunteer group under the Humboldt Bay Fire JPA, supporting the mission of HBF and also working closely with other teams in Humboldt County through the CERT Council.  Each team member has completed the 23 hour basic training and additional classes in advanced skills.

HBF CERT assists in educating community members in the basic skills needed to respond to the needs of their families, their neighbors and themselves, in the first days following a disaster as well as supporting our first responders during large-scale community events, emergencies, or disasters
